Responsibilities

  • Administer, maintain, and optimize enterprise server, storage, virtualization, backup, and disaster recovery platforms.
  • Manage and support Microsoft Azure cloud services and AWS cloud environments.
  • Administer Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and related collaboration technologies.
  • Manage Windows Server operating systems and supporting infrastructure services.
  • Maintain Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, certificate services, and related enterprise technologies.
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity to ensure business continuity.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure standards, configuration baselines, and operational procedures.
  • Plan and execute system upgrades, migrations, patching, and lifecycle management activities.
  • Evaluate and recommend hardware, software, and cloud solutions to improve reliability and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain system documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational runbooks.
  • Cloud Administration:
    • Design, deploy, administer, and support Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services environments.
    • Monitor cloud resource utilization, performance, availability, and cost optimization opportunities.
    • Configure and maintain cloud networking, storage, security controls, and backup solutions.
    • Deploy and manage Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) resources as required.
    • Support hybrid cloud integrations between on-premises and cloud-hosted systems.
    • Implement and maintain cloud governance standards and best practices.
    • Ensure cloud environments comply with organizational security and operational requirements.
  • Identity and Access Management:
    • Administer Microsoft Entra ID and hybrid identity services.
    • Manage user accounts, groups, permissions, and role-based access controls.
    • Configure and maintain Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and Conditional Access policies.
    • Implement least-privilege access models and privileged account management practices.
    • Conduct periodic user access reviews and account audits.
    • Support identity governance initiatives and lifecycle management processes.
    • Aid with authentication, authorization, and directory service troubleshooting.
  • Network Administration:
    • Administer and support Cisco switching, routing, wireless, VPN, and network security technologies.
    • Monitor and maintain network performance, stability, and availability.
    • Troubleshoot complex connectivity and communication issues across multiple locations.
    • Assist with network design, segmentation, redundancy, and capacity planning.
    • Maintain network diagrams, configuration backups, and operational documentation.
    • Cook up network changes and upgrades with business and technical stakeholders.
    • Work with service providers and vendors to resolve network-related issues.
  • Information Security:
    • Implement and maintain security controls across infrastructure, cloud, endpoint, and network environments.
    • Monitor security alerts, vulnerabilities, threats, and suspicious activity.
    • Participate in security incident investigation, response, containment, and recovery efforts.
    • Conduct vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation activities.
    • Serve as a liaison for security audits, compliance initiatives, and risk assessments.
    • Recommend improvements to security architecture and operational controls.
    • Aid with endpoint protection, email security, data protection, and identity security initiatives.
    • Support the development and maintenance of security policies, standards, and procedures.
    • Maintain awareness of emerging cybersecurity threats and industry trends.
  • Technical Leadership:
    • Serve as the highest level technical escalation point for complex infrastructure and operational issues.
    • Lead troubleshooting efforts involving multiple interconnected systems and technologies.
    • Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term corrective actions.
    • Lead infrastructure implementation, migration, upgrade, and modernization projects.
    • Research, evaluate, and recommend emerging technologies and best practices.
    • Provide mentoring, coaching, and technical guidance to IT team members.
    • Aid with knowledge transfer and workforce development initiatives.
    • Collaborate with business stakeholders to align technology solutions with operational requirements.
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Participate in IT change management activities and operational governance processes.
    • Create and maintain automation solutions utilizing PowerShell and related technologies.
    • Create and maintain system monitoring, alerting, and reporting solutions.
    • Support disaster recovery planning, testing, and business continuity efforts.
    • Maintain accurate technical documentation and system inventories.
    • Participate in strategic planning and budget forecasting activities.
    • Support vendor management and service provider relationships.
    • Participate in after-hours support, maintenance activities, and on-call rotations as required.
    • Ensure compliance with organizational standards, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Seven (7) to ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in systems administration, infrastructure engineering, cloud administration, networking, and cybersecurity.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting hybrid on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Experience serving as a senior technical resource or Level III escalation point.
  • Proven experience leading infrastructure projects and technology initiatives.
  • Experience supporting enterprise production environments with high availability requirements.
  • Experience with identity management, information security, and operational governance practices.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Pay

$60,000 – $95,000 annually (based on experience, qualifications, and location)
