Senior Systems Administrator

About the role

The Senior System Administrator will provide service to clients in the NYC metro area, focusing on various initiatives in Systems Administration. The role requires a broad knowledge base including end-user support, small business networking, Active Directory, and server technologies used by small businesses.

Responsibilities

• Provide service to clients in the NYC metro area
• Develop, implement, and support various initiatives in Systems Administration
• Manage various systems including end-user support, small business networking, Active Directory, and server technologies used by small businesses
• Manage Office 365 and Azure
• Configure and manage virtual technologies such as VMware ESX, or Hyper-V
• Perform end-to-end troubleshooting of issues, where the problem may lie in the storage, server, network or anywhere in between
• Solve problems quickly and automate processes
• Research and learn new concepts and apply them to future projects
• Follow change controls and security procedures
• Interact with clients and colleagues to ensure smooth operations

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in Windows System Administration
• At least 5 years of experience in Network Administration
• At least 3 years of experience managing Office 365
• At least 2 years of experience managing Azure
• Experience with virtual technologies such as VMware ESX, or Hyper-V
• Strong understanding of base concepts and protocols such as TCP, NAT, ARP, DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, VLAN, VPN
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills
• Experience configuring and managing switches and firewalls

Qualifications

Must be local and willing to relocate to Fair Lawn, NJ post-pandemic.

Pay

$90,000 to $120,000 based on experience, with potential for adjustment based on other open roles.
