Senior Systems Administrator

Job Location: Remote (U.S. based candidates only)

Temporary (W2T) Contractor (1099) role with 0% travel.

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to manage and optimize our client's Microsoft cloud and endpoint environment. This role will support identity, endpoint, Azure infrastructure, and end-user administration while contributing to future cloud optimization and modernization initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Administer Okta, Microsoft Intune, Azure Active Directory/Entra ID, and Azure infrastructure.
• Use NinjaOne RMM to monitor, manage, and support enterprise endpoints.
• Troubleshoot escalated infrastructure, cloud, endpoint, and end-user support issues.
• Perform routine system maintenance, monitoring, patching, and documentation.
• Support Azure cleanup, optimization, governance, right-sizing, and cost management efforts.
• Assist with infrastructure modernization, automation, DevOps, reporting, and data platform initiatives.
• Partner with infrastructure, security, data, and application teams to deliver scalable technology solutions.

Requirements

• Strong experience administering Okta and Microsoft Intune.
• Extensive knowledge of Azure Active Directory/Entra ID and hands-on Azure infrastructure administration.
• Required experience with NinjaOne RMM.
• Comfort supporting Microsoft cloud environments, enterprise endpoints, and escalated technical issues.
• Experience with Azure governance, optimization, cost management, or cloud modernization.
• Familiarity with PowerShell, automation, DevOps practices, Azure data services, or modern data/AI platform initiatives is a plus.

• Strong troubleshooting, communication, collaboration, and prioritization skills.
