Senior System Software Engineer, Automotive Performance

About the role

This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions, influencing architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a Telecommunications & Hardware environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Optimize system software for the company automotive performance platforms with Safe RTOS
• Collaborate with hardware and software teams to track key performance benchmarks
• Ensure software and hardware meet targets through detailed micro benchmark analysis
• Develop innovative features for automotive profiling tools using AI methods
• Benchmark the hypervisor to minimize overhead on ARM systems
• Work with the ADAS/AV team to improve the next-gen stack on Tegra platforms

Qualifications

• Master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 12+ years of proven experience in systems or software performance
• Strong C/C++ programming skills with prior automotive industry experience
• Proficiency in Linux and QNX; familiarity with Android is a plus
• Deep knowledge of benchmarking, boot time, compiler optimizations, and runtime performance
• Understanding of hypervisors, virtualization, and overhead analysis techniques
• Experience with profiling tools aimed at enhancing system software efficiency
• Desirable: AI/ML experience

Pay

$224,000 – $431,250 annually
