About the Role
Under the general direction of the Technical Services Manager, this position helps users achieve optimum use of their computers by performing needs analysis, procurement support, installation, guidance, and problem resolution for computers and servers on the network. Responsibilities include managing VMWare, Storage, Servers, Patching, and SQL installations.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and install hardware, software, and other equipment to match the Bank's technological needs with current technology.
- Troubleshoot network performance issues and assist with disaster recovery topology definition and administration.
- Manage and maintain the bank's VMWare, Storage, Servers, Patching, and SQL installations.
- Implement proactive monitoring of network and core infrastructure equipment.
- Communicate highly technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel.
- Recommend hardware and software solutions, including new acquisitions and upgrades.
- Provide initial response and manage the problem resolution process for outages and problems.
- Provide detailed operating procedures and server architecture drawings.
- Manage escalation process to the IT manager or IT staff as required.
- Research software, hardware, and techniques to improve hardware/software problem resolution.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of Bank products, services, policies, procedures, and regulatory issues (e.g., Bank Secrecy Act, Privacy Act, Fair Lending Act, Regulation E).
- Complete required compliance training and adhere to the Bank's standard of conduct.
- Participate in the Bank's High-Performance Rewards Connections program and make referrals to the Mortgage Center and Wealth Management.
- Perform other duties as requested.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology, or equivalent work experience.
- Five years' experience, with three years supporting a Windows Server environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of advanced Active Directory and VMWare skills.
- Experience with Active Directory, Microsoft Office 365, Server, and computer support/setup.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and general computer/typing skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot errors with programs and/or processes.
- Work independently in a team environment and perform quality work in high-pressure situations.
- Available to be on call and work after hours as required.
