Responsibilities
- Write, review and modify test procedures for the troubleshooting of electronic assemblies
- Support test technicians by troubleshooting difficult problems and by instructing the technicians in techniques to resolve these issues
- Develop test equipment and test assemblies to aid the technicians in isolating problems
- Conduct research to resolve production difficulties
- Write ECPs on product to correct errors and to resolve production difficulties
- Provide New Product Setup, Programming and Support, ECO and Process Improvement Implementation
- Lead, participate and contribute to a team environment within the department and throughout the organization
- Stay abreast of all state of the art, technical and equipment issues through training and self-development
- Adhere to internal ethics, procedures and external regulations and laws
- Support the Sustaining Engineering and Operations department’s performance goals and objectives
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree is required, or 5-10 years functional experience may substitute
- Associate's degree is required, with a specific degree field in a Technical Degree (engineering, electronics, etc.)
- 5-10 years of functional experience is required, with 1-3 years of industry experience
- Training Pre-requisites: ESD and Safety Training, as dictated by Safety Department, within one year of taking position
Skills And Abilities
- Able to formulate resolution plans, solutions, and a concise, informational final report
- Able to analyze technical data package for new programs with minimal supervision, to anticipate and prevent, where possible, production issues and risks
- Able to participate in small teams for issue resolution
- Able to troubleshoot complex issues with minimal supervision, and break them down into smaller, more simple tasks for the technicians to perform
- Familiarity with basic test equipment (i.e. oscilloscopes, voltmeters, signal generators, etc.)
- Good Working knowledge of basic computer applications
