Responsibilities

  • Carry out advanced field and office surveying tasks, including data collection, analysis, and document preparation.
  • Operate and manage survey instruments and equipment, such as GPS, total stations, and data collectors, ensuring accurate data collection.
  • Review and analyze survey data for accuracy, identifying and resolving discrepancies to maintain high-quality survey results.
  • Collaborate with project managers, survey crews, and CAD specialists to develop accurate and efficient survey plans and workflows.
  • Prepare, review, and approve survey drawings, maps, and reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and project specifications.
  • Mentor and train junior survey technicians and crew members, guiding them on field procedures, equipment use, and data analysis.
  • Evaluate and ensure compliance with industry standards, safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the development and implementation of process improvements, enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of survey activities.
  • Aid in project planning and resource allocation, contributing to the identification of survey needs, timelines, and equipment requirements.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in surveying, specializing in field and office surveying tasks.
  • Possession of a Professional Surveyor (PS) certification or equivalent preferred.
