About the role
This is a full-time, Day shift position (0640-1715, 4, 10 hr shifts weekdays) with rotating weekends, holidays, and call/standby.
Responsibilities
- Reviewing preference lists and picking the supplies and instruments for a procedure
- Performing a surgical scrub and preparing the back table with the appropriate sterile instrumentation and supplies
- Providing support intra-operatively by anticipating the surgeon's needs and passing him/her the appropriate instrumentation and supplies when needed during the case
- Completing the cycle by taking instruments and equipment to the decontamination area at the end of the procedure and putting away left over supplies and equipment
Requirements
- Successfully completed training as a surgical technician at an accredited school
- Upon hire: National Certified Surgical Technologist - National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting
- Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- 3 years Experience as a Surgical Technician in Operating Room
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Coursework/Training: Successfully completed training as a surgical technician at an accredited school.
- Upon hire: National Certified Surgical Technologist - National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting.
- Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
- 3 years Experience as a Surgical Technician in Operating Room.
