Senior Surgical Physician Liaison
The US Oncology Network is looking for a Senior Surgical Physician Liaison to join our team at Texas Colon and Rectal Specialists. This role supports multiple locations across the Greater Dallas area, with coverage extending from Denison in the north to Midlothian in the south, and from Greenville in the east to Flower Mound in the west. About the role
This is a full-time Monday-Friday 8a-5p position with no weekends, call, or major holidays. The ideal candidate will reside within the Greater Dallas area and is comfortable traveling regularly throughout the region to provide support as needed.

Responsibilities
- Develops positive business relationships to increase oncology & hematology new patient physician referrals in order to achieve annual territory organic growth goals.
- Support and adhere to the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards and Shared Values.
- Perform marketing and sales activities for an assigned geographic area to achieve or exceed assigned objectives.
- Using consultative selling skills, initiate contact with non-oncology physicians and key staff to engage customers, source needs, and recommend service solutions to market US Oncology Network affiliated practices’ oncology services and increase new patient referrals.
- Establish and maintain strong long-term relationships with referring physicians in the territory.
- Implement sales, marketing, and outreach plans, presentations, and strategies designed to develop incremental referrals, new referral relationships, and meet customer needs.
- Develop a basic understanding of regional business conditions relating to the industry, competition, and relevant business trends.
- Identify future growth opportunities for new services.
- Relay physician feedback and market trends data to practice leadership.
- Work with management to identify and execute business solutions to market and customer issues.
- Collaborate with practice physicians and leadership to identify and facilitate referring physician and community-based sales or outreach activities.
- Work with the practice management team to ensure timely resolution based on customer feedback.
- Ensure efficient adherence to administrative duties, including timely completion of expense reports, use of automation tools such as CRM, detailed sales metric reporting and analysis, and business planning.
- Manage travel expenses within guidelines and budget.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business or health. MBA preferred but not required.
- Minimum 5-7 years healthcare sales experience, preferably calling on physician accounts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and databases.
- Ability to be successful with a consultative selling model.
- Ability to understand business intelligence reporting and the impact of growth initiatives on practice’s financial viability.
- Proven ability to prioritize opportunities and convert them into successful sales for developing and maintaining existing business.
- Comfortable delivering presentations and skilled in relationship-building.
Physical Demands
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to be present at the employee site during regularly scheduled business hours and regularly required to sit or stand and talk or hear.
- Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
- Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time.
- Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 40 lbs.
- Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
Work Environment
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to be present within the assigned territory/region during regularly scheduled business hours.
- The work environment may include exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medical preparations, and other conditions common to an oncology/hematology clinic environment.
- Work involves in-person interaction with co-workers, management, and/or clients.
- Work may require travel by automobile, approximately 70% of the work week.
- Sales positions require regularly working outside the office to call on clients and build relationships.
