Senior Supply & Inventory Planner
Job Purpose and Impact
The Senior Supply and Inventory Planner leads inventory strategy, execution tracking, and performance reporting for Cargill Bioindustrial’s North America network. This role owns key inventory health metrics, including SMOG (slow-moving and obsolete goods) tracking and follow-up, and partners with cross-functional teams to turn data into clear actions. They communicate inventory risks, trends, and recommendations to business leadership to support better planning, service, working capital, and integrated business planning decisions.
Key Accountabilities
Lead inventory strategy development and execution for our North America network.
Own SMOG and other inventory metric tracking, gap analysis, and follow-up actions.
Communicate inventory performance, risks, and recommendations to business leadership and key stakeholders.
Analyze supply, demand, service, and inventory drivers to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
Partner with planning, commercial, finance, operations, and supply teams to support integrated business planning.
Develop action plans during inventory shortages, imbalances, or supply disruptions.
Maintain key planning data, including inventory targets, safety stock inputs, constraints, locations, and supplier-related data.
Improve reporting, analytics, automation, and decision-support processes.
Independently resolve complex planning issues and escalate critical decisions when needed.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience. Minimum of four years of related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Six years of experience with at least three in supply and inventory planning. Advanced Excel skills, including experience building complex workbooks with pivot tables, Power Query, XLOOKUP or INDEX/MATCH, SUMIFS, logic formulas, and scenario analysis. Interest in analytics, reporting, automation, and practical use of AI in planning or business decision-making. Ability to translate complex data into clear insights, business implications, and actionable recommendations. Strong communication skills, including experience preparing leadership-level reporting and decision-support materials.

The expected salary for this position is $87,000 - $120,000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience.
This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance.
