Senior Supply Chain Operations Specialist II

Hourly pay range: $19.31 - $28.00. The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

About the role

The Senior Supply Chain Operations Specialist is responsible for maintaining established inventory levels in supply areas for assigned procedural units in a hospital setting and/or high-complexity off-campus care locations. This includes counting current stock levels, picking tickets from inventory locations, organizing and facilitating just-in-time deliveries to assigned units, managing consignment, and performing expiration checks on all supplies. The role collaborates with Supply Chain Operations leadership and Procurement to mitigate supply disruptions and identify substitute items when necessary, and recommends inventory level changes to ensure supplies meet forecasted demand.

Schedule

• Full-time (40 hours per week)
• Hours: Monday - Friday, 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM
• Rotating holidays and weekends
• No required travel

Responsibilities

• Inventory Management: Monitor, count, and record inventory levels for all medical supplies. Utilize reports to troubleshoot supply disruptions and collaborate with leadership and Procurement to mitigate disruptions and identify substitute items.
• Supply Distribution: Deliver medical supplies to various departments and ensure timely replenishment and put-away of stock.
• Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, stage, and deliver supplies for internal orders. Facilitate reordering of consignment products after use. Review inventory stocking levels and recommend adjustments to meet or exceed forecasted demand. Review backorder reports and collaborate with clinical and supply chain teams on mitigation strategies.
• Organization: Maintain cleanliness and organization of supply areas and stockrooms, including rotating stock and checking for expired items.
• Communication: Foster relationships with department secretaries, nurses, and charge nurses. Provide frequent updates on stocked supplies and respond to supply requests via department phones, Vocera, or pagers.
• Use of Technology/Data Entry: Utilize Endeavor technology for accurate data entry into handhelds, computers, and expiration logs. Check email regularly for departmental and system-wide updates.
• Project Support: Participate in departmental initiatives such as process improvement, implementations, or regulatory readiness.
• Compliance and Safety: Adhere to all Endeavor policies, infection control protocols, and Joint Commission supply standards.

Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree in a supply chain-related field preferred but not required.
• Certification: Driver’s license may be required depending on specific job duties. Certified Materials & Resource Professional (CMRP) is admired.
• Experience: Minimum of three years of previous experience in healthcare operations, warehousing, or distribution.

• Physical Demands: Medium work (exerting up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, up to 30 lbs. frequently, and up to 10 lbs. constantly to move objects).
