About the role

Rapid and Rural Logistics is seeking a Senior Supply Chain Manager with a proven delivery record and project management experience to own and execute strategic, cross-functional operations and technology projects for faster-than-same-day operations. This role requires a robust understanding of fulfillment operations—including under-the-roof processes, inventory flows, constrained fulfillment center assets (capacity and labor), quality, and long-term roadmaps—to develop new innovations. The position plays a critical role in shaping the future strategy for the same-day program, demanding high-level ownership of end-to-end processes, creative problem-solving, and the ability to disrupt current processes to create sustainable solutions. Key responsibilities include scoping large ambiguous projects, managing timelines, and communicating status, risks, and process/product changes to senior management. Cross-team coordination, project management, and executive presentation skills are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Drive innovation that improves under-the-roof processes and continuously removes cost from fulfillment and delivery networks
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to plan, organize, execute, and standardize complex projects to achieve Rapid and Rural Logistics goals
  • Gather and analyze data across fulfillment and delivery functions to establish global standards for operations and other cross-functional teams
  • Analyze and solve operational barriers with a focus on root cause understanding and driving forward opportunities
  • Develop Amazon best practices for internal operations
  • Leverage analytics to support the future state of the business
  • Lead network capacity modeling and optimization across North American faster-than-same-day facilities
  • Manage multiple delivery streams including faster-than-same-day, grocery, pharmacy, and hazmat
  • Drive weekly operational decisions, strategic planning, and high-visibility events such as Prime Day and peak seasons
  • Work closely with Operations, Finance, Engineering, and Design teams to optimize network performance and implement productivity improvements to meet 2025 volume targets
  • Make data-driven decisions, develop automated capacity planning systems, and create scalable processes

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, operations, engineering, analytics, or a related field
  • 5+ years of program or project management experience
  • 5+ years of supply chain experience
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
  • Experience owning program strategy, end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, macros, INDEX/MATCH, VLOOKUP, VBA, and data links

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design, or a related field
  • Intermediate proficiency in SQL, including compiling queries, subqueries, aggregation/grouping, and data modification

Pay

Compensation is determined by experience, qualifications, and location. Base salary ranges include:

  • New York, NY: $126,900 – $181,400 USD annually
  • Nashville, TN: $103,900 – $148,400 USD annually
  • Bellevue, WA: $115,400 – $160,000 USD annually

Amazon offers sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs) as part of the total compensation package.
