Essential Functions
- Conduct complex and in-depth analysis of the Canadian refinery position to ensure oil flow is optimized with the crush/seed strategies
- Develop and maintain Canadian Refinery plans and strategies to optimize cost, service, synergies, and inventory objectives and align key performance indicators to ensure successful execution of strategies
- Manage the execution process of the Crush plans through coordination with Operations and Commercial teams
- Manage capacity planning for Canadian refineries by analyzing customer demand against internal capacities
- Manage process to drive improvement in domestic and North American KPI metrics
- Collaborate with the Rail Fleet team to ensure that the North American fleet is aligned with refinery forecasts
- Collaborate with key internal groups such as Sales, Customer Service, Transportation, Operations and other OVC function to understand key drivers that create inefficiencies within the Canadian Refinery network
- Manage prioritization of customers and orders in the event a prioritization is needed for the Canadian Refinery network
- Understand the impact of future events such as (pricing, promotional events, new product launches, etc.) and the impact on the future supply needs
- Lead medium to large continuous improvement projects which vary in complexity to establish or upgrade current processes in support of “best in class” supply chain management
- Lead resolution process for any discrepancies between supply capabilities and expected demand
- Manage Refinery Reporting (Capacity & Drag) and be responsible for managing solutions that balance order management with capacity
- Be an integral member of the IBP Supply process with specific focus on taking the Canadian Refinery lead on communicating long term challenges or opportunities to key stakeholders
- Manage weekly/monthly/quarterly reporting process to keep the business updated with impactful demand/supply chain variances
Qualifications/Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Statistics/Mathematics, Operations Research, Agriculture Economics, or related business discipline required. Advanced degree is a plus
- Seven to nine years related experience with a proven track record in supply chain value
- Demonstrated understanding of supply chain and operational functions such as (demand planning, production planning, forecasting, truck and rail logistics, supply chain optimization processes, etc.)
- Proven, effective analytical skills
- Exceptional communication skills
- Strong MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills as well as experience with reporting tools such as Tableau and BW
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple functions and departments within the organization
- Ability to work effectively under time constraints and multi-task
- Ability to work with ambiguity
- Motivated self-starter who is organized, efficient and team-oriented
