About the role
The Senior Supplier Manager is responsible for performing and supporting supplier engagements throughout the lifecycle, guiding stakeholders through established processes and systems.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrated experience in supplier management, commodity management, and category of spend management with increasing responsibilities.
- An advanced understanding of contracting, contracting elements, and contract negotiations.
- Experience lowering overall cost run rates through contracting.
- Advanced experience with establishing and maintaining categories of spend strategies.
- Advanced experience with analytical and analysis processes, including TCO modeling, pivot tables, and Excel.
- Advanced experience running RFx's, supplier selection, and managing stakeholders through the entire process.
- Advanced experience with project management, demonstrating project management skills within the Source to Pay lifecycle.
- Advanced experience working with senior leaders and influencing decision-making.
- Advanced experience supporting business units with supplier management issues, supplier performance, and supplier relationship issues.
- Advanced experience with supplier reduction strategies through acquisitions and mergers.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving work environment.
- Utilize logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions and approaches to problems.
- Communicate effectively to convey information and write professionally as needed.
- Understand industry trends, regulatory considerations, and major issues in the shared services industry.
- Utilize knowledge of processes, tools, and techniques for detecting, addressing, and preventing fraudulent situations.
- Develop new ideas and solutions for work-related problems using creative and alternative thinking.
- Consider the risks and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.
- Act as a financial steward, ensuring expenses are managed and aligned with budget goals.
- Develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with colleagues.
- Implement a customer service-oriented approach, actively seeking ways to assist others.
- Knowledge of functions, features, and applications of Microsoft Office; ability to use cross-functional features to enhance organizational efficiency.
Requirements
- 5-8 years of experience with supplier management, commodity management, or managing categories of spend.
- 5-8 years of experience in the financial services industry.
- 5-8 years of experience with sourcing and contract life cycle management systems.
- 10-15 years of relevant work experience as a supplier manager.
- 10-15 years of relevant Financial Services Industry experience.
- 10-15 years of experience working with sourcing and contract life cycle management systems.
- Examples of relevant certifications include ASCM (APICS), CPSM, CSMP, etc...
Qualifications
- Basic Requirements: 5-8 years of experience with supplier management, commodity management, or managing categories of spend.

Benefits
