About the Location

Our Bagdad operations in Arizona provide housing at a subsidized rate, a family-friendly atmosphere, and numerous amenities including an aquatic center, golf course, and fitness center. Located 100 miles northwest of Phoenix, Bagdad is home to the world's first commercial-scale concentrate leach processing facility and one of the longest continuously operating solvent extraction/electrowinning plants in the world.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the implementation of Technical Training values, policies, and procedures within the section.
  • Contribute to teamwork within the Technical Training department and demonstrate leadership qualities.
  • Ensure competency-based learning programs are professionally designed, evaluated, and delivered in various on- and off-the-job situations.
  • Ensure section employees apply principles of adult learning in all competency-based programs.
  • Design and implement delivery and assessment schedules to meet strategic targets and customer requirements.
  • Assist in implementing the company Learning Management System (LMS) and ensure accurate recording and reporting of participant data.
  • Respond to customer learning and assessment requirements and provide advice on technical training services.
  • Supervise a section of the Technical Training department to deliver competency-based learning and assessment services within budget constraints.
  • Assist in creating the section’s annual Strategic Business Plan and Budget, focusing on business improvement and safety performance.
  • Supervise various learning situations, from individual coaching to group delivery in on- and off-job environments.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of all competency-based learning and assessment materials and tools.
  • Contribute to coaching training administrators and instructional employees to meet training quality and quantity targets.
  • Assist in reviewing employee development needs to meet competency improvement targets.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of directly related experience, including supervisory or mid-level management experience; OR
  • High School diploma or GED and ten (10) years of directly related experience, including supervisory or mid-level management experience; OR
  • High School diploma or GED and Master Craftsman certification or license and seven (7) years of directly related experience, including supervisory experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with LMS.
  • Skilled using Microsoft Office.
  • Experience working with contractors.
  • Training experience in construction-related activities including cranes, rigging, and heavy equipment operation.
  • Training experience in HAZWOPER, MSHA, Working at Heights, Confined Space, Hazardous Energy Control.

  • Candidates may be required to pass a medical exam.
  • Candidates must pass all required training and/or testing.
  • Employees may be required to work a non-standard schedule, including shift work at a 24/7, 365-day operation.

Pay

The estimated annual pay range for this role is $87,500–$120,000. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits, or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills, and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance.
