Senior Supervisor, Operations Quality (Onsite)
About the role
The ESA Quality Senior Supervisor leads a blended team of salaried employees and collectively bargained members for the Electric Power Systems Business Unit at our innovative facility in Rockford, Illinois. Daily responsibilities include the organization of final inspection workloads, coordination of ESA clinic activities, oversight of quality floor support, and providing guidance to meet the objectives of the ESA business unit.
Responsibilities
- Provide oversight for inspection, rework, and initial containment activities for the generator assembly process
- Use Quality Clinic metrics to direct resources in support of operational goals
- Review and develop inspection plans to drive efficiency and support business objectives
- Communicate cross-functionally to ensure continuation of operations
- Professionally develop self and others, providing training opportunities for direct reports
- Utilize RTX Zero methodology for determination of efficient inspection methods
- Promote data-driven continuous improvement via CORE operating system and emerging digital technologies
- Other projects as defined by the Business Unit Leadership team
Qualifications
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
- U.S. Citizen is required
- Experience in using Continuous Improvement/Lean tools to make process improvements in a manufacturing environment
- Prior supervisory experience of collectively bargained employees
- Three years of experience in Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality or related areas
- Aerospace industry experience
- Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), proficiency with precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gages, etc.), and familiarity with Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM)
- Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing experience
- Experience with maintaining the Quality Management System including internal and external audits

Pay
The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
