This role is for a commercial ground-up construction project in Temple, Idaho, for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Some travel is expected, and per-diem will be offered.
Responsibilities
- Manage safety, quality, schedule, production, logistics, and coordination.
- Represent the company in meetings and interface with all project stakeholders.
- Coordinate and direct all subcontractors and vendors.
- Work with the project team to establish goals and develop accountability.
- Assume responsibility for productivity of crafts, efficient use of materials and equipment, and contractual performance of the project.
- Work closely with city officials to request and coordinate applicable inspections, including early dialogue with officials.
- Verify subcontractor completion of assigned scope of work.
- Seek to learn changes in the industry.
Requirements
- Completed at least one LDS Temple construction project, renovation, or major expansion.
- Experience coordinating specialty trades and quality control inspections.
- Strong finish work background.
- Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, Procore, and P6 (Primavera 6).
- Ability to effectively lead and manage teams.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with project teams, customers, subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and employees at all levels.
- Extensive knowledge of established construction practices, procedures, and applicable local, state, and federal building codes.
- Ability to read and understand work orders, budgets, change orders, safety standards, plans, specifications, shop drawings, blueprints, submittals, manufacturer’s literature, contract documents, and CPM schedules.
- Understand construction scheduling, sequencing, and cost control.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in the workplace.
- Thorough attention to detail; highly organized with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with abstract variables in situations with limited standardization.
