Senior Superintendent- NJ/PA

About the role

Shawmut Design and Construction is seeking experienced Senior Superintendents to lead field operations and manage projects in the Life Sciences industry. Key responsibilities include leading daily operations, maintaining project schedules, and fostering positive relationships with subcontractors and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Lead all daily field operations to ensure proper site safety, construction, progress, quality control, and a clean site
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of project strategy and commitments, including financial goals, scheduling, logistics, phasing, milestones, inspections
• Work in partnership with Project Managers to maintain an updated and accurate project schedule that reflects changes in project status and meets cost and time requirements
• Demonstrate and maintain effective and open dialogue with the project team regarding changes in work, job conditions, subcontractor relations, and any deviation in project direction
• Promote positive relationships by dealing expertly and fairly with all subcontractors and vendors, and instill this philosophy in the project team

Requirements

• 10+ years’ experience as a Project Superintendent at a general contractor
• Experience managing field personnel and all trades on site with great communication skills and the ability to train, develop, and mentor others
• Experience with project work in the Life Sciences industry
• Experience with complex and logistically challenging, fast-paced, and high-visibility projects

Pay

Greater Philadelphia Salary Range: $165,000 - $240,000

Schedule

Placement within the listed range depends on many factors including, but not limited to, years of experience, project size capability (for Construction & Field roles), and internal company equity.
