Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and maintaining the project master schedule, including short-term (6-week) look-ahead schedules, as well as utilizing pull planning processes.
• Lead and mentor a team of managers, including junior superintendents, field engineers, and field staff.
• Review contract documents and recognize quality discrepancies; notify project management and create cost-effective suggestions to correct issues; create and communicate Requests for Information with design team/ownership.
• Participate in scope review prior to contract award.
• Proficient at long-range planning to assist the Project Management team with long-lead material procurement.
• Hold and manage job site meetings with the client and design team (OAC); create meeting minutes and distribute to appropriate parties in the absence of the Project Manager.
• Execute all superintendent responsibilities on the most complex projects autonomously with minimal involvement from upper management.
• Monitor site safety conditions, direct corrective actions, and conduct regular safety audits.
• Utilize advanced computer skills and construction technology, including:
  • BIM model navigation for coordination and conflict resolution.
  • Collaboration platforms (e.g., Bluebeam and Procore) for punch lists and communication.
• Maintain accurate as-built drawings and job site records.
• Resolve inter-trade conflicts and escalate issues as necessary.
• Enforce and manage field-level quality assurance and control standards.
• Validate subcontractor scopes to ensure proper execution of work.
• Understand and apply trade-specific collective bargaining agreements as required.
• Foster high levels of client satisfaction and support repeat business opportunities.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in a Superintendent role.
• Proven track record of quality construction, performance, and leadership.
• Excellent knowledge of construction management, safety protocols, and industry best practices.
• Superior communication, organization, and negotiation skills.
• A valid driver’s license and valid insurance.
