Senior Superintendent

About the role

Balfour Beatty Construction is seeking a Senior Superintendent to work for our Texas Division's Special Projects Group in Houston.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all field operations, including the coordination of subcontractors' work.
• Supervise all field construction work by subcontractors and self-performed work.
• Ensure implementation of the Safety/Zero Harm program for the job site.
• Develop the project budget, participate in the preconstruction phase, and ensure project timelines, budgets, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Manage and mentor Assistant Superintendents and other field personnel.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Fifteen years or more of commercial construction field experience.
• Five years or more of direct supervisory experience related to subcontractor management.
• Previous or current commercial construction experience in a Superintendent role required.
• Experience with interiors, tenant improvements, and related work.
• Proficiency using a personal computer (PC) and company communication tools, such as email, the internet, and Microsoft products (e.g., Word, Excel, Office, Outlook).
• Ability to read plans and specs.
• Scheduling experience using software applications.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Must be able to pass a drug test.
