This is a high-impact, technically specialized role supporting 345kV765kV rebuild and greenfield projects, including emerging technologies such as HVDC. The successful candidate will operate as a technical specialist with minimal supervision and may contribute to business development. Key ResponsibilitiesLead transmission line design and analysis across large-scale 345kV+ rebuild and greenfield projects Perform and oversee engineering calculations in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and quality requirements Structural design of transmission steel structures and foundations; apply 3D analysis and design software Develop equipment and material recommendations; manage scope within budget and schedule Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers Coordinate across disciplines and serve as responsible charge on assigned projects Maintain and develop departmental design guides, standards, and quality processes Build and maintain positive client relationships; support business development and pursuit activities Identify and train successors; participate in performance management and career development Compensation & Benefits Base salary ranges by location (final offer based on experience and qualifications): Colorado: $148,852 $248,578 Illinois: $148,852 $248,578 Massachusetts: $162,384 $271,176 Minnesota: $142,086 $237,279 California: $148,852 $293,774 Full benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and professional development support.
