About the role
You will lead complex, high-stakes healthcare facility projects under strict OSHPD oversight from day one.
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple OSHPD projects through all phases — design, permitting, and construction administration.
- Hold an active California S.E. license.
- Bring 5–10 years of direct structural engineering experience on healthcare projects governed by OSHPD regulations.
- Act as Prime Consultant and lead multidisciplinary teams of architects, MEP engineers, and outside consultants.
- Use ETABS, RISA 3D, and SAFE daily to model and analyze complex structural systems.
- Be responsible for project budgets, fee proposals, contract review, and profitability tracking.
- Mentor junior engineers and review all deliverables for technical accuracy and code compliance.
Requirements
- A California Structural Engineer license is non-negotiable.
- Fluent in steel, concrete, masonry, wood, and metal stud design.
- Extensive experience engineering structures in seismically active regions.
- A B.S. in Civil Engineering with structural emphasis; an M.S. in Structural Engineering is strongly preferred.
Qualifications
Not a P.E. with structural experience. Not "license-pending."
