Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, and maintain client relationships.
  • Identify project opportunities, actively pursue opportunities, and prepare proposals.
  • Conduct or participate in workshops and meetings with clients.
  • Identify high-level risks, assumptions, and constraints.
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs.
  • Ensure a common understanding by setting expectations in accordance with the Project Plan.
  • Effectively manage multi-discipline teams for a wide range of water resources projects and tasks.
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Execute the tasks as defined in the project plan.
  • Identify key project team members and define roles and responsibilities.
  • Implement approved actions and workarounds to mitigate project risk events.
  • Improve team performance by building team cohesiveness, leading, mentoring, and training.
  • Evaluation and design of water infrastructure projects and other civil engineering support tasks.
  • Develop detailed designs, plans, and specifications for infrastructure projects.
  • Prepare or oversee preparation of planning reports, plans, and specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Manage planning, design, and construction support services for water, recycled water, and wastewater infrastructure projects.
  • Design of storm water management systems.
  • Preparation of drainage, soil erosion and sediment control, utility relocation, right-of-way, staging, and construction plans, specifications, and engineering estimates.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited University
  • Master's degree preferred
  • 18+ years of experience in civil, and/or hydraulic engineering
  • Professional Engineering registration is required. California PE registration strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated experience with water resource infrastructure including fishery related projects, water conveyance, storm water networks, heavy grading, water treatment, wastewater treatment and pump stations
  • Familiarity with Federal Agency codes and requirements, including FERC, USACE, USBR

Compensation Package

Pay Range: $154,000 - $230,000 (DOE)
