Responsibilities
- Responsible for concept design, performing analysis and design of structures.
- Prepare calculations, contract drawings and specifications, and estimating costs.
- Review shop drawings and erection procedures.
- Perform construction administration duties.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, master’s degree in structural engineering or civil engineering are strongly desired.
- Licensed PE in the state of Massachusetts.
- Additional licensing in one or more states (Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, and Maine) is preferred.
- 6– 7 years of related experience, 3 – 4 years project related experience and knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations required.
- 1 – 2 years coordination/supervisory experience preferred.
- Must have progressive structural design experience, including experience in the engineering of facilities of medium to large industrial and commercial buildings.
- Proficient in design of steel, concrete, prestressed concrete, timber and/or masonry.
- Working knowledge of the IBC codes and structural engineering applications (SAP, ETABS, STAAD, RAM Steel).
