Senior Structual Engineer

About the Role

Turnaround for Calculations & Rebar drawings for items utilizing Locke Design Model in less than 24 hours. Provide Technical Expertise on project specifications.

Successful outcomes include achieving a turnaround time for designs of less than 24 hours on average and effectively communicating with the Plant Engineer and Project Teams to ensure project goals and milestones are met.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support across all aspects of the business while automating processes to improve production efficiency.
• Ensure safety training is attended.
• Stamp drawings with PE certification.
• Advise the Engineering team on setting short-term and long-term goals aligned with company objectives.
• Design for precast concrete, manufacturing processes, lifting, and rigging.
• Assist in Safety Engineering Designs and concrete mix designs, including cost analysis.
• Research and develop new products and equipment.
• Support logistics, inventory engineering, and storage analysis.
• Coach Plant Engineer, QC, and Project teams on special projects.
• Review special product specifications and provide technical expertise.
• Attend Engineering meetings to offer technical input as needed.
• Verify the accuracy of drawings prepared by project designers and managers.
• Perform design calculations using software and hand calculations as required.
• Research materials and create/review mix designs, including cost analysis.
• Provide technical support in customer meetings, repair procedures, estimating, and design guidance.
• Offer guidance on Quality Control and Safety.
• Review specialty project specifications and drawings.
• Design lifting and rigging solutions for internal or external use.
• Complete required safety trainings.
• Conduct cost analysis and research molds for product design.
