About the Role

The Senior Strategy and Planning Analyst (SSPA) is responsible for the collection, analysis, and reporting of sales-related data to guide the annual sales planning process, increasing overall sales productivity and bookings growth. This position will develop and track key performance indicators to enhance business understanding and improve decision-making around annual sales planning, compensation planning, and territory planning. The SSPA will create both standardized and custom reports from data collected across multiple business applications, conducting quantitative product and sales analysis used by sales leadership, sales operations, and finance to guide annual, quarterly, and weekly sales planning and operations. The role also involves assessing future needs, ensuring data integrity, and developing standardized tools, methodologies, and business processes to improve operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Assume a key role in the annual sales and fiscal year planning function to aid in developing the annual financial bookings plan.
  • Assist sales leadership and sales operations with annual territory planning and mapping.
  • Aid sales leadership with annual headcount planning.
  • Support sales leadership with annual incentive compensation planning and management.
  • Work closely with sales operations on weekly, quarterly, and annual forecasting cadence to develop structure, modeling, and utilization of field data.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, prioritize projects, and define key performance indicators (KPIs) for annual sales planning.
  • Design and document dashboards and reports on a recurring or as-needed basis.
  • Build a detailed understanding of the business through dashboards and reports to identify critical areas for organizational strategy and performance related to sales planning.
  • Aid in the quarterly business review process by providing data insights for performance evaluation and strategic planning.
  • Demonstrate creativity in problem-solving within a complex and evolving organization.
  • Research business problems and create models to analyze them.
  • Provide organized, succinct, and concise supportive data and vital information.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in quantitative business analysis, forecasting and production planning, finance, and cost accounting.
  • Systems integration experience with tools such as Palantir (Foundry), SFDC, NetSuite, and other GTM business applications and financial systems.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to present to various stakeholders and executives (e.g., Hardware Operations, Sales, Finance).
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to build and maintain complex computer applications and programs for analysis, data organization, and report creation from various sources.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to operate across multiple functional organizations, fostering a cohesive team environment while being highly motivated to take ownership of projects and work independently.
  • Ability to perform complex analysis such as regression, forecasting, and probability modeling.
  • Obtaining FAA Part 107 certification within the first 60 days of employment is strongly encouraged and required for certain positions.

Pay

The annual base salary range for this position is $140,000 - $165,000. Compensation packages include competitive base salaries, equity in the form of stock options, and comprehensive benefits. Relocation assistance may also be provided for eligible roles.
