About the role
The AVS Senior Strategic Supply Chain Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping Amazon's supply chain operations to deliver exceptional customer experiences and drive business growth. This position works closely with Retail, Supply Chain, and Vendors to continuously optimize operational metrics.
Responsibilities
- Identifying and delivering improvement opportunities around demand and production planning
- Monitoring, analyzing, and owning Vendor Key Performance Indicators such as: Out of Stock rate, Total Inbound lead time, confirmation rates, including presenting insights, themes, and trends to Senior Leadership team.
- Strategically analyzing production and delivery lead-times, while optimizing operational excellence inputs such as EDI adoption, PO confirmations, efficient receive processes, and inventory placement.
- Spearheading initiatives to enhance cost structure and profitability, collaborating closely with partner teams to ensure successful execution.
- Quarterly travel to vendor sites to support ongoing partnership
Qualifications
- Knowledge of statistics or other analytical techniques
- 6+ years of supply chain, forecasting, manufacturing, sourcing/procurement, or vendor management experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in supply chain management, engineering, business management or other relevant field
- Experience managing multiple projects in parallel through prioritization, planning, and task delegation
- Experience building and maintaining relationships with business partners
- 6+ years of proven track record of successfully leading and managing complex supply chain projects, preferably in a large-scale retail or e-commerce environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data insights into actionable supply chain strategies. Microsoft Excel and SQL preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SQL
- MBA, or Master's degree
- 3+ years of negotiations and vendor management experience
- Ability to problem solve creatively by adapting frameworks or existing best practices
Pay
Base salary range: $121,200.00 - $163,900.00 USD annually
