About the role
Develop and execute sourcing strategies to drive cost savings, improve supplier performance, and ensure supply chain continuity.
Collaborate with stakeholders and manage supplier relationships.
Responsibilities
- Develop and drive new product sourcing strategy
- Develop supplier partnerships
- Engage with and select suppliers
- Drive negotiations
- Manage suppliers to meet program requirements and agreements
- Get new parts on contract
- Ensure our parts are producible
- Help plan and drive transition of development programs to production
- Help ensure suppliers have a seat at the design table with Honeywell Design Engineering and Integrated Supplier Chain (ISC) through Early Supplier Engagement (ESE)
- Be a key contributor on development program’s Integrated Product Development Teams
- Work directly with NPI Buyers, ISC Engineering, Design Engineering, Program Managers, and Quality
Requirements
- Expertise in Systems Applications and Products in Data Processing (SAP) Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
- 2+ years’ experience in Integrated Supply Chain with emphasis on Sourcing and New Product Integration, specifically in aircraft, surface, missile navigation, sensors, and/or guidance systems
Qualifications
- Graduate Degrees in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Contract Administration, or Engineering Discipline
- Experience with subcontract compliance with Public Laws, Policies, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFAR), and ITAR and import/export requirements
- Experience in aircraft, surface, or missile navigation, sensors, space electronics or guidance systems or space electronics with exposure to design, sourcing and manufacturing
- Continuous in-depth knowledge of Aerospace market conditions, commodities, customers, suppliers, industry trends, and developing technologies
- Developing negotiation plans and conducting formal negotiations (price, schedule, payment terms, supplier exceptions to contractual flow down requirements, and standard Terms and Conditions)
- 3+ years of professional experience working within large matrixed organizations with a proven track record of innovation, delivery, and results
- Direct experience with engineering development-to-production electronic hardware transitions and supply chain transformation activities
- Contributing to knowledge management, continuous improvement, and organizational development to enable world class sourcing practices
- Own and drive change, and influence and mentor others
- Strong business acumen with exceptional strategic thinking and analytical skills
- Strong project management skills. Experience in project estimation, planning, and cost and schedule management techniques and tools. Experience in managing multiple concurrent projects
- Create effective relationships, influence prioritization, and collaborate at all organizational levels
- Driving the execution of multi-stakeholder initiatives, providing direction when needed and removing obstacles to get work done
- Clearly hear and concisely convey subtle or complex messages to a variety of audiences. Strong listening, verbal, and written communication skills
- Work in a fast-paced, autonomously driven, and demanding start-up-like atmosphere
- Consistently make timely decisions while balancing conflicting goals in an ambiguous environment
