Senior Strategic Corporate Finance Partner
About the role
We’re looking for a full-time Senior Strategic Corporate Finance Partner to join our FP&A team reporting to the Director of Finance. This role is a remote role based in the United States.
Responsibilities
Support Company-Wide Planning & Forecasting. Play a critical role in Gainsight's annual operating plan (AOP), long-range plan (LRP), and quarterly re-forecast cycles. You'll partner cross-functionally with department heads to set targets, pressure-test assumptions, and ensure financial plans are grounded in business reality.
Own revenue and cash flow forecasting end-to-end, continuously refining models to improve accuracy and timeliness.
Serve as the primary steward of Gainsight's long-range financial model. This includes translating qualitative strategic initiatives into quantitative financial outcomes, stress-testing scenarios, and presenting a compelling narrative to senior leadership, the board.
Deliver Executive & Board-Level Reporting. Prepare and present monthly and quarterly financial performance packages for the executive team and Board of Directors. You'll go beyond the numbers — identifying key variances from plan, explaining the "why" behind trends, and recommending corrective actions where needed.
Support Investor Relations & M&A. Assist in preparing Board decks, Vista Equity Partners reporting, and industry benchmarking analyses. When M&A opportunities arise, you'll contribute to financial due diligence, target modeling, and integration planning, bringing rigor and speed to high-stakes decisions.
Integrate AI Into the Finance Function. Champion the use of AI tools and automation to improve the speed, accuracy, and scalability of FP&A processes. Whether it's leveraging Gainsight's own AI capabilities or external tools, you'll help modernize how Finance operates and delivers insights.
Requirements
8+ years of progressive FP&A or strategic finance experience in high-growth or dynamic environments; investment banking or experience at a private equity owned software company a plus.
Demonstrated command of full-statement financials, including balance sheet and cash flow dynamics, alongside deep familiarity with SaaS-specific metrics such as ARR, NRR, and gross retention.
Advanced financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to independently see issues through to resolution.
Self-driven and detail-oriented with an extreme ownership mentality.
Best-in-class attention to detail and unwavering commitment to accuracy.
Strong enthusiasm and/or experience with artificial intelligence and integrating into finance functions.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or related discipline.
