Senior Storage Specialist Solution Architect , GFS Specialist Solutions Architecture Team

About the role

Join our Global Financial Services (GFS) Specialist team as a Storage Specialist Solutions Architect. Work with customers, introduce new technologies, and adopt new solutions. Run technical go-to-market initiatives, surface customer insights to product teams, and provide thought leadership.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with customers to enable large-scale implementations and accelerate adoption of advanced AWS services.
• Partner with field Solution Architects to provide guidance on customer engagements.
• Create white papers, blogs, reference architectures, and presentations that empower customers to fully utilize AWS capabilities.
• Represent the voice of the customer; bring customer feedback to product teams to influence feature development and future product roadmap.
• Provide advanced technical knowledge to unblock customers' largest and most critical business challenges.
• Deploy storage and data strategies, and orchestrate the migration of complex workloads to the AWS cloud.

Requirements

• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience.
• Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients.
• 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience.
• Knowledge of cloud architecture.
• Experience in technology/software sales, pre-sales, or consulting.
• Experience in compute and storage server architecture and design for large scale applications.
• Experience with distributed systems as it pertains to data storage and computing.
• Experience architecting, migrating, transforming or modernizing customer requirements to the cloud.
• Experience working with and presenting to C-level executives, IT, and lines of businesses across organizations or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Knowledgeable in AWS storage services for Account teams and customers.
• Ability to act as a thought leader, sharing best practices through forums like AWS blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures, and public-speaking events like AWS Summit, AWS re: Invent, etc.
• Experience partnering with Sales Specialist teams to define technical components of best-in-class Go-to-Market concepts, solutions, and initiatives.
• Experience developing and supporting an AWS internal community of technical subject matter experts worldwide.
• Experience creating field enablement materials for broader SA populations to help them understand integrating Amazon Web Services solutions into customer architectures.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $169,000.00 - $228,600.00 USD annually.
