Senior Storage AI Specialist Solution Architect, AGS Specialist Solutions Architecture Team
About the role
Amazon Web Services is seeking a Storage Specialist Solutions Architect to join our Startups and SMB team. As part of this role, you will serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in designing sophisticated customer solutions, collaborating closely with customers to enable large-scale implementations and accelerate adoption of advanced AWS services. You will partner with field Solution Architects to provide guidance on customer engagements, while creating white papers, blogs, reference architectures, and presentations that empower customers to fully utilize AWS capabilities.
Our Specialist Solutions Architects are recognized as technical visionaries who champion emerging technologies both conceptually and architecturally. They play an instrumental role in advancing cloud computing adoption within the Enterprise space, thinking innovatively to deliver cost-efficient, mission-aligned, and security-focused solutions. You will employ a customer-centric approach to develop AWS storage solutions and orchestrate the migration of complex workloads to the AWS cloud.
Responsibilities
- Be a subject matter expert on AWS storage services for our Account teams and customers.
- Represent the voice of the customer; bring customer feedback to product teams to influence feature development and future product roadmap.
- Provide advanced technical knowledge to unblock our customers’ largest and most critical business challenges.
- Deploy storage and data strategies with technical depth and business experience.
- Act as a thought leader sharing best practices through forums such as AWS blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures, and public-speaking events (e.g., AWS Summit, AWS re:Invent).
- Partner with Sales Specialist teams to define the technical components of best-in-class Go-to-Market concepts, solutions, and initiatives.
- Develop and support an AWS internal community of technical subject matter experts worldwide.
- Create field enablement materials for the broader Solutions Architect population to help them understand how to integrate AWS solutions into customer architectures.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in specific technology domain areas (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
- 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting experience in applications and infrastructures.
- 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting experience in the software or Internet industries.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of cloud architecture.
- Experience in a technical role within a sales organization.
- 7+ years of server, storage, networking, or large-scale distributed systems experience.
- Experience architecting, migrating, transforming, or modernizing customer requirements to the cloud.
- Experience working with and presenting to C-level executives, IT, and lines of businesses across organizations or equivalent.
- Experience with distributed systems as they pertain to data storage and computing.

Pay
- USA, CA, Santa Clara: $176,600.00 - $239,000.00 USD annually
- USA, IL, Chicago: $153,600.00 - $207,800.00 USD annually
- USA, NJ, Jersey City: $169,000.00 - $228,600.00 USD annually
- USA, NY, New York: $169,000.00 - $228,600.00 USD annually
- USA, WA, Bellevue: $153,600.00 - $207,800.00 USD annually
Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
