About the role

The People & Places Analytics, Research, and Technology (PART) team is seeking a Senior Staff Business Data Analyst to lead the technical strategy for Talent Analytics. This role spans workforce planning, talent acquisition, and broader people insights. As Intuit scales its use of people data, the volume and complexity of talent data—such as current headcount, open requisitions, planned exits, hiring projections, and recruiting pipeline metrics—continues to grow. We need a senior, hands-on analyst to automate manual reconciliation work, build scalable pipelines and dashboards, and apply AI to deliver insights across the talent lifecycle. This highly visible role partners directly with senior stakeholders and Intuit's leadership team to shape how talent data flows from source systems to executive decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Talent Analytics Strategy & Data Ownership
    • Own the end-to-end data strategy across talent analytics, including workforce planning (headcount, requisitions, planned exits, hiring projections) and talent acquisition (recruiting funnel, time-to-fill, quality-of-hire).
    • Automate manual reconciliation processes to deliver a consistent, trusted, near real-time view of talent data.
    • Partner with People, Talent Acquisition, and Finance teams to align talent analytics data across systems.
  • Data Quality, Pipelines & Architecture
    • Understand and influence how talent data is structured, stored, and moved across databases, data warehouses, and data pipelines.
    • Establish and enforce data quality standards to ensure trusted downstream dashboards and executive reporting.
    • Identify opportunities to convert ad hoc or manual data requests into durable, automated solutions.
  • Visualization & Insight Delivery
    • Design and build intuitive, high-quality dashboards and visualizations for people leaders, Talent Acquisition, and business stakeholders.
    • Translate complex talent data into clear narratives and recommendations for senior leaders.
    • Continuously improve self-service reporting so stakeholders can find answers without requiring one-off data pulls.
  • AI-Enabled Analytics
    • Build and deploy AI agents (e.g., using Claude and similar tools) to deliver insights, automate recurring analytics tasks, and apply agent architecture to scale delivery and speed up time-to-insight.
    • Evaluate and pilot new AI tools and approaches for talent analytics, workforce planning, and people analytics.
    • Partner with data engineering to ensure talent data is well-structured and AI-ready.
  • Stakeholder & Executive Partnership
    • Act as a senior technical thought partner to senior stakeholders, SLT, and Intuit executives on talent data and insights.
    • Manage ad hoc requests from senior leadership, balancing responsiveness with the team's standard intake process.
    • Present talent data and insights clearly and credibly to senior and executive audiences.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Business, Human Resources, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in business/data analytics, with demonstrated ownership of talent analytics, workforce planning, recruiting/TA, or broader people analytics data.
  • Strong hands-on experience building and deploying AI agents to deliver talent insights at scale.
  • Working knowledge of data warehouse, data pipeline, and data architecture concepts, and how they affect analytics at scale.
  • Experience automating manual reporting processes and building scalable dashboards or self-service tools.
  • Strong data quality instincts, able to define and enforce standards that senior leaders can trust.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a track record of presenting to and influencing senior stakeholders and executive leadership.
  • Ability to operate autonomously in ambiguous situations, translating loosely defined requests into structured, durable solutions.

Preferred:

  • Experience with Workday HCM data and Avature or other ATS/recruiting platforms.
  • Experience partnering with Talent Acquisition or recruiting analytics teams on funnel, sourcing, or pipeline metrics.
  • Familiarity with People Data governance, security, and access considerations.
