Senior/Staff Software Engineer with C++ - Drivers, Diagnostic, & Embedded Software (San Diego, CA)
You have the opportunity to work on the development of Intravascular Ultrasound Systems. As a member of a cross-functional team, you will collaborate with electrical engineers, transducer engineers, software engineers, system engineers, and ultrasound engineers.
Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and develop driver, diagnostic, and embedded software for intravascular ultrasound systems.
- Interface with multi-disciplinary teams consisting of marketing, hardware, software, catheter design, and manufacturing to refine design requirements for next-generation intravascular ultrasound devices.
- Create software requirement specifications, software architecture documents, and detailed software design documents.
- Design, develop, and debug driver and embedded software to implement communication between hardware and application software using C++.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in software/embedded software development, preferably in the field of medical electronics.
- Strong experience with object-oriented programming languages, specifically C++.
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience creating detailed design documentation (specifications, design descriptions, verification, and testing plans).
- Ability to meet the minimum physical, cognitive, and environmental job requirements with or without accommodation.
Skills
- Knowledge of digital signal and image processing (preferred).
- Experience with CUDA (preferred).

Pay
The pay range for this position in CA is $126,000 to $201,000. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may include an annual incentive bonus, sales commission, or long-term incentives.
