Senior Embedded Software Engineer (C/C++)

About the Role

Werfen is seeking a skilled professional to join our team, contributing to our worldwide leadership in specialized diagnostics across Hemostasis, Acute Care Diagnostics, Transfusion, Autoimmunity, and Transplant. Through our OEM business line, we research, develop, and manufacture customized assays and biomaterials. This role supports our commitment to innovation and quality, helping provide healthcare professionals with valuable solutions to improve hospital efficiency and patient care.

Responsibilities

• Support the research, development, and manufacturing of customized assays and biomaterials within the OEM business line
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across global Technology Centers in the US and Europe
• Drive innovation and quality in specialized diagnostic areas including Hemostasis, Acute Care Diagnostics, Transfusion, Autoimmunity, and Transplant
• Deliver solutions that enhance hospital efficiency and patient care outcomes

Requirements

• Experience in diagnostics, medical devices, or related life sciences fields
• Strong background in assay development, biomaterials, or OEM manufacturing processes
• Ability to work effectively in a global, multi-cultural environment
• Commitment to quality, regulatory standards, and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in life sciences, biomedical engineering, or a related discipline
• Proven track record of technical problem-solving and project execution
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus
