Senior/Staff Product Designer, AI

Responsibilities

• Lead the long-term design vision and strategy for major, cross-functional product domains within the FloQast platform, ensuring alignment with company objectives and driving significant business impact.
• Define and deliver the next generation of seamlessly embedded AI capabilities across the product suite.
• Act as the principal designer translating complex AI capabilities and enterprise requirements into intuitive, high-trust, and scalable experiences that remove adoption barriers and deliver groundbreaking value to accounting teams.
• Partner closely with Product, Design, and Engineering Leadership to define the product roadmap and architecture, contributing a deep, user-centered perspective that proactively identifies and scopes opportunities for platform-level improvements.
• Elevate quality and consistency at scale by setting the bar for design quality across the entire platform. Guide the evolution of the design system, establishing standards and patterns that ensure consistency, usability, and technical feasibility across multiple design teams.
• Design for transformative AI, designing and leading high-impact research initiatives that deepen the organization's understanding of our users' unmet needs, leveraging both qualitative and quantitative data to inform high-level strategic product decisions.
• Own execution on the most complex, ambiguous projects, driving them to completion. Mentor and coach other designers on the team in strategy, execution, technical feasibility, and cross-functional leadership, fostering a culture of excellence.
• Influence the organization by proactively influencing stakeholders across the organization, effectively communicating complex design problems, rationale, and solutions to executive leadership and large cross-functional teams.

Requirements

You possess a deep professional history in enterprise product design. This experience includes 5+ years of professional experience designing and shipping high-quality, complex SaaS or enterprise products at scale, with a significant track record of delivering organizational impact.

Qualifications

• Mastery of core design tools and influence design systems, including mastery of design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma) and deep experience contributing to robust design systems used by multiple teams.
• Expertise in accelerating design through modern, intelligent tools, leveraging advanced proficiency in AI-powered tools (e.g., Figma Make, ChatGPT/Gemini/Claude, etc.) to accelerate knowledge, quality, collaboration, and delivery, with evidence of active toolset experimentation and evolution.
• Specialized knowledge in designing intelligent, AI-driven experiences, including establishing appropriate user controls, building trust, translating complex models into clear user value, and addressing ethical implications.
• Exceptional strategic collaboration and organizational influencing skills, with a proven ability to articulate and defend design rationale to executive leadership across product, design, and engineering.
• Experience leading and informing organizational strategy through rigorous research, designing and leading research efforts that inform major strategic product decisions and pivots.

Skills

You possess exceptional strategic thinking, interaction design, and visual polish, particularly demonstrating work on large-scale data applications, complex workflows, or platform-level tooling.

Final salary and level is determined by the candidate's experience, technical skillset, and interview performance relative to our internal leveling rubrics. Compensation is not limited to base salary. Pay

The base pay range for this position is $144,000--$246,000 (Senior and Staff).

Schedule

This role requires working in office 3 days per week, which may be subject to change based on team and business needs, as determined by the department leader.
