The Internal Communications Lead at Aurora is responsible for inspiring employees and strengthening their connection to the company’s mission. Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop communication strategies to connect employees with the company’s mission and core priorities.
  • Drive engagement through initiatives that foster a sense of community among employees.
  • Manage the editorial calendar for all internal communication channels.
  • Develop and refine Aurora’s employer brand strategy and employee engagement programs.
  • Serve as an advisor to internal stakeholders, guiding them on communication strategies and ensuring consistency across all internal channels.
  • Create various internal materials such as communication plans, executive and company emails, announcements, talking points, and executive briefing materials.
  • Explore and manage AI-powered tools and an integrated intranet to improve employee engagement and information accessibility.

Required Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience in internal communications in the tech industry.
  • Experience developing and executing company-wide internal communication strategies for rapidly scaling companies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communicator who can translate complex topics into simple language.
  • Proven experience as a trusted communications advisor to internal stakeholders.
  • Experience launching and managing company-wide systems like intranet and AI tools that help employees be more efficient.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong production skills that will help use a variety of communications channels to reach employees.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $163,000 - $261,000 per year. Aurora’s pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.

Benefits

The successful candidate will also be eligible for an annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits.
