About the role

The Senior/Staff Production Engineer reports to the Engineering Superintendent, Production and is responsible for supporting the safe and sustainable realization of facility production targets and other critical KPI’s. This role involves working closely with various departments to ensure operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Forecasting and validating forecasting and scheduling tools
  • Leading daily strategy planning with Production Management
  • Supporting turnaround planning organization as a technical resource
  • Maintaining and monitoring facility production capacity curves
  • Maintaining a facility loss accounting tool
  • Supporting Supply Chain Management
  • Maintaining and utilizing tools for calculating and tracking flared quantities
  • Maintaining and utilizing tools for monitoring water injection rates into gas turbines
  • Maintaining and utilizing tools for managing LNG inventories
  • Maintaining and utilizing tools for managing catalysts and chemicals
  • Maintaining and utilizing tools for energy balance models
  • Maintaining and utilizing tools for environmental monitoring
  • Maintaining and utilizing tools for production reporting
  • Maintaining and utilizing tools for production KPIs
  • Maintaining and utilizing tools for loss accounting summaries
  • Supporting the preparation of production performance summaries
  • Maintaining and utilizing scheduling tools for process efficiency
  • Providing daily support to plant Production personnel in troubleshooting process issues
  • Assisting with the development and utilization of computer process simulations
  • Interacting with Reliability, Engineering & Process Services engineers to define problems and carry out tests
  • Understanding and utilizing the MOC process
  • Participating in PSSR, PHAs, and Regulatory Agency Audits
  • Assisting with incident investigations
  • Supporting procedure development and training related to capital projects and temporary modes of operation
  • Ensuring safety and environmental awareness through frequent job observations
  • Managing components of the department budget
  • Training and developing Production Engineering staff

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical/Process/Chemical or Petroleum Engineering
  • A Professional Engineer’s (PE) License is a plus but not required
  • Senior Engineer, Production: Five (5) years of demonstrable experience as a Production Engineer, Process Engineer, or Operations on an LNG Liquefaction Facility or equivalent applicable experience
  • Staff Engineer, Production: Ten (10) years of demonstrable experience as a Production Engineer, Process Engineer, or Operations on an LNG Liquefaction Facility or equivalent applicable experience

Skills

  • Strong analytical, leadership, and administrative abilities
  • An acute sensitivity to safety issues in a hazardous environment
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Competent in the use of process simulation software

Pay

Salary range for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

The Senior/Staff Production Engineer works in an industrial plant environment and occasionally works from home, after normal work hours, or on weekends. Limited travel may be required.
