Senior Staff Civil/Geotechnical Engineer
Delve Underground is seeking a Civil/Geotechnical Engineer with 2+ years of relevant experience to join our Columbus, Ohio team. The ideal candidate will have experience in geotechnical design, stability analysis, seismic response analysis, and tunnel/shaft design.

Responsibilities
- Geotechnical design and reporting (engineering, data, and baseline reports)
- Support geotechnical investigation programs including planning, permitting, implementation, data reporting, and writing interpretative reports
- Stability analysis and retaining wall/excavation support design
- Seismic response analysis, such as liquefaction analysis and ground deformation analysis
- Aid with tunnel and shaft design
- Work under the direction of senior engineers, providing technical oversight and review
- Contribute to a variety of office and field assignments
- Create drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical memoranda that present the basis of design
- Collaborate with a team on complex, multi-discipline projects
- Show strong writing and communication skills, able to communicate effectively with internal staff and clients
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geotechnical/Civil or Geological Engineering
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Relevant coursework or experience in geotechnical engineering, soil and rock mechanics, subsurface investigation methods, foundation engineering, and finite element analysis
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent assignments and priorities
- Field experience on trenchless or tunneling projects preferred
- Strong analytical and technical communication skills
- Willingness to work in the field and travel for short-term assignments to remote locations
- Valid driver’s license required

Pay
$71,588 - $129,802
