Senior Staff Accountant - Farming

Grimmway Produce Group is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to support the Farm Accounting team, ensuring timely and accurate financial analysis and records. About the role

As a Senior Staff Accountant, you will utilize your skills and experience to maintain financial accuracy, participate in daily and monthly accounting tasks, and assist in ensuring precise financial records for one of the world’s largest carrot and organic vegetable growers, packers, and shippers.

Responsibilities

• Support the Farm Accounting team with timely and accurate financial analysis.
• Participate in daily and monthly accounting tasks.
• Ensure accurate financial records and reporting.
• Analyze financial data and identify issues as they arise.
• Manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Communicate meaningful insights and analysis effectively.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
• 3+ years of experience in Accounting or Financial Analysis with increasingly responsible roles (required).
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting and GAAP (required).
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (required).
• Ability to analyze financial data and communicate issues effectively.
• Detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets company policy, insurance, and DMV requirements.
• Employment contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment screening.

Qualifications

• Previous Ag/Cost Accounting or Public Accounting experience (a plus).
• Previous ERP software experience (preferred).

Pay

Total Rewards: $80,000 - $95,000 per year. Actual compensation will be determined by factors such as education, experience, knowledge, skills, internal equity, and market alignment.
