Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Aid in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Support financial statement preparation and variance analysis.
- Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger.
- Aid in external audits and ad hoc financial reporting requests.
Fixed Asset Accounting
- Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
- Record asset additions, disposals, transfers, and adjustments.
- Reconcile fixed asset subledgers to the general ledger.
- Support annual physical asset inventories and capital expenditure tracking.
Inventory Accounting
- Monitor inventory transactions and ensure accurate inventory valuation.
- Analyze inventory balances, reserves, and adjustments.
- Reconcile inventory accounts and investigate discrepancies.
- Partner with operations to improve inventory controls and reporting accuracy.
- Support cycle counts and physical inventory processes.
Job Costing & Manufacturing Accounting
- Track and analyze costs associated with projects, production runs, and jobs.
- Review labor, material, and overhead allocations for accuracy.
- Analyze manufacturing variances and support management reporting.
- Aid in standard cost updates and cost accounting initiatives.
- Partner with production and operations teams to improve cost visibility and profitability analysis.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience with: Fixed Asset Accounting, Inventory Accounting, Job Costing or Cost Accounting.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
- Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills, including: Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Data analysis and reconciliation functions.
- Ability to manage deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
