The organization is preparing for the retirement of its current CFO while ensuring a seamless handover to the incoming leadership. The Senior Staff Accountant will play a critical role in managing the full-cycle accounting processes across multiple entities. This position requires a proactive approach to handle the complexities of closing numerous books and maintaining financial accuracy. Responsibilities

  • Closing the books for approximately 100 different entities
  • Handling full-cycle accounting for multiple entities
  • Managing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger
  • Preparing journal entries and assisting with month-end close
  • Reconciling bank accounts and balance sheet accounts
  • Preparing monthly financial statements
  • Analyzing financial data and identifying discrepancies
  • Assisting with audits and internal controls
  • Processing property taxes, business licenses, and permits
  • Collaborating closely with property managers and the accounting team
  • Contributing to the improvement of accounting processes and procedures

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of general accounting experience
  • 5-10 years of experience working with payroll, accounts receivable, and accounts payable
  • 5 years of experience with GAAP
  • Experience with multi-entity accounting and managing numerous book closings, with a minimum of 50+ books
  • High school diploma
  • Proficient in Word, Outlook, Excel, and QuickBooks
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting or related field is preferred
  • 5 years of General Ledger reconciliation experience is preferred
  • Experience with QuickBooks and Rent Manager is preferred

Pay

$100,000 - $120,000 / Year DOE
