About the Role
The Senior Staff Accountant advances Biblica's global mission by supporting the accounting and compliance functions of a multi-entity, international Christian ministry. Applying GAAP and international accounting equivalents, this role records transactions for Biblica, Inc. and related entities, manages payroll and compliance filings, and supports the Global Finance team.
This is a hybrid position requiring a Colorado Springs Metropolitan area–based candidate, with a minimum of one to two days per week on-site at Biblica's HQ in Palmer Lake, CO.

What You'll Own
- Lead all payroll functions — processing, accruals, reversals, reconciliations, 403(b) deduction reporting, IRS Form 941 filings, and coordination with the plan administrator
- Lead compliance efforts including state sales tax filings, state registrations, Form 990, FBAR, 1040-NR, and 1099 support
- Prepare and record journal entries for Biblica Europe Ministry Trust (BEMT) and Biblica Ministries Foundation (BMF), and assist with month-end financial reporting for these entities
- Own transactions and financial statement preparation for the Close the Bible Gap (CtBG) collective impact alliance
- Coordinate ECFA annual reporting requirements to maintain accreditation
- Assist with audit preparation and coordination, and support royalty audits with the Controller
- Drive process improvements within areas of responsibility
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3–5 years of accounting experience; non-profit, multi-entity, and/or global experience preferred
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage compliance deadlines independently
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle financial data with integrity
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access
- Experience with Sage Intacct preferred
- Experience with BambooHR or similar HRIS software preferred
- Valid passport with ability to travel up to 20% globally
