About the role

We are seeking a hands-on Principal DevOps Engineer to lead end-to-end DevOps transformation with strong expertise in Azure, Azure DevOps (ADO), SaaS, Terraform-based IaC, GitHub Enterprise, and CI/CD pipeline engineering. This role will drive modernization of DevOps platforms, migration from legacy-SAS environments, and implementation of scalable, secure, high-performance delivery pipelines, including adoption of Copilot for DevOps productivity.

Responsibilities

  • Own and lead end-to-end CI/CD DevOps pipeline across Dev, QA, Prod environments
  • Stand up and manage Azure DevOps SaaS (ADO Cloud) including repos, pipelines, and governance
  • Design and implement enterprise-grade CI/CD pipelines (YAML-based) with standardized release and promotion strategies
  • Solve release management and environment promotion challenges across multiple environments
  • Implement Terraform-led Infrastructure as Code (IaC) across Azure/AWS environments
  • Drive migration from legacy-SAS platforms to Azure DevOps pipelines
  • Integrate and administer GitHub Enterprise and GitHub Copilot with ADO SaaS
  • Implement DevSecOps practices including code scanning and security automation
  • Define and design DevOps ecosystem architecture, tools, orchestration, monitoring, and governance
  • Drive automation and orchestration to eliminate manual effort and improve delivery velocity

Requirements

  • 12+ years overall IT experience
  • 8+ years in DevOps/Cloud engineering
  • Proven experience in enterprise DevOps transformation in a hands-on leadership role

Skills

  • Strong experience with Azure DevOps (Pipelines, Repos, Releases, Artifacts)
  • Azure Cloud (IaaS/PaaS services)
  • Terraform Infrastructure as Code
  • CI/CD pipeline design and YAML frameworks
  • Release management and environment promotion strategies
  • GitHub Enterprise integration
  • DevSecOps, security scanning, and compliance
  • Working experience in multi-cloud environments (Azure, AWS)

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with SAS platform migration
  • Exposure to GitHub Copilot or Microsoft Copilot in DevOps workflows
  • Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes

Soft Skills

  • Strong ownership and accountability mindset
  • Hands-on execution capability ("hands-on keyboard")
  • Excellent stakeholder and client communication skills

The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum salary target for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location, job level, and additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Depending on the position, other forms of compensation may be provided, such as an annual performance-based bonus, sales incentive pay, or other forms of bonus/variable compensation.
