Senior Specialist, R&D Insights
Responsibilities
Operational Management & Quality: Supervise and manage the expert panel and employee panel operations, ensuring adherence to test procedures, efficient time management, and maintaining the overall integrity of testing procedures for good sensory practice.
Study Design and Execution: Develop comprehensive study schedules, manage recruitment and instructions for panels, and monitor overall study integrity, including quality control and accurate data analysis using statistical programs like Compusense or Red Jade.
Insight Delivery and Communication: Interpret panel data for performance, report results to Category Insights Lead, and deliver compelling, concise communication of key findings and insights with a Point of View (POV) on implications.
Panel Sustainability and Development: Proactively manage panel membership for long-term viability (including exploring Analytics and 3rd Party Providers), develop and train Expert Panel members, and pilot new ideas to ensure panels remain vibrant and viable.
Agile and Autonomous Work: Operate proactively with minimal supervision, demonstrating the ability to make appropriate decisions and adjust learning approaches or timelines as needed within an Agile Working environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in such areas as Sensory Science, Psychology, Statistics, Food Engineering/Science, UX
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in sensory science
Preferred Qualifications
- Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) experience is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of Sensory Spectrum Expert Panel methodology.
- Good moderation/facilitation skills.
- Understanding of basic assessment techniques, especially related to sensory testing.
- Statistical competency and exposure and openness to Digital and Analytic Tools.
- Good verbal and written communication.
- Proficiency in Google Suite.
Pay
Salary Range $96,800.00 - $140,000.00 USD Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.
