Senior Specialist, Quality Engineer-Supplier Quality

Responsibilities

• Makes sure suppliers meet quality standards
• Investigates problems with products and suggests ways to fix them
• Works with suppliers, manufacturers, engineers, customers, and others to make sure everything meets the rules
• Monitors supplier performance and helps them improve
• Checks materials coming from suppliers and inspects products before they're used
• Helps suppliers get the right certifications needed for military and aviation projects
• May need to travel up to 50% of the time

Qualifications

• Must have a bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or another technical field
• At least 10 years of aerospace quality experience (equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered)
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance
• Preferred additional skills include manufacturing inspection experience, experience with Military and FAA Certification efforts, FAA and Quality authorizations/certifications, and AS9100 experience
