Senior Specialist, Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Ensure the organization’s Quality Management System (QMS) adheres to AS9100/AS9110 standards and aerospace industry requirements.
• Plan, organize, and conduct internal audits across the Waco, TX site to assess the effectiveness of processes, systems, and the adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Evaluate the degree of compliance, identify risks, non-conformances, recommend corrective actions, and report audit findings to management.
• Work closely with management and cross-functional teams to maintain and continuously improve QMS processes while ensuring our readiness for external certification audits.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain a security clearance.
• Must have a Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
• In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
• Must have AS9100 and/or AS9110 Lead Auditor certification from an accredited training provider.
• Must demonstrate ability to analyze data, identify trends, and perform analysis using quality tools.

Preferred Additional Skills

• Experience with additional aerospace standards (AS9101, AS9104, etc.).
• Familiarity with EtQ Reliance System.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Solumina, etc.).
• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• Ability to access ITAR controlled items and/or articles.
