Senior Specialist, Quality
About the role
L3Harris, Spectrum Superiority (S2), is seeking a Senior Quality Specialist (SQS) to join the Business Management System & Compliance team within the S2 Quality organization. This role supports the delivery of tangible value to L3Harris Spectrum Superiority Sector in achieving the "WHY" of AS9100.
Responsibilities
- Owes the effective integration of the requirements of AS9100 into the BMS processes through effective partnership with Manufacturing, Test and Inspection Management and occasional interface with Program Management, Engineering Design & Development management, Supply Chain management and individual contributors relative to the requirements of AS9100, AS9145, and AS9115.
- Makes moderate to substantial improvements to systems and processes.
- Works in partnership with Manufacturing, Test and Inspection Management, assists with the creation of Turtle Diagrams to document the updated processes, as well as authoring / assisting with authoring updated, process based documented procedures defining the integrated BMS.
- Conducts process-based and other internal audits of revenue-generating core business processes and supporting key processes, with a focus on area compliance reviews of factory processes in Manufacturing, Test, and Inspection.
- Authors detailed audit reports documenting the scope, requirements, objective evidence reviewed, findings, nonconformances, and opportunities for improvement based on audits, gap analyses, and other reviews and observations of process execution.
- Identifies effective root cause / corrective action and data analysis opportunities for improvement of the Business Management System processes.
- Explains, interprets, and gains cooperation on policies, procedures, and practices.
- Works with Document Control Administrator in managing Command Media library.
- Helps to develop and implement a company culture of personal accountability.
- May conduct briefings with senior leaders.
- Business travel, up to 10% when required to support all L3Harris S2 sites.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering from an ABET accredited university or equivalent work experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
- 6+ years of work experience in design and development engineering and / or manufacturing engineering and/or quality assurance or quality engineering.
- AS9100 Certified Lead Auditor.
- Ability and eligibility to obtain a DoD Security Clearance, as required.

Pay
The salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C., Denver, or NYC areas is $84,000 - $156,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
Schedule
The job schedule is 9/80 (Off every other Friday).
