About the role
L3Harris is seeking a qualified Telecommunications Project Manager. The Project Manager is responsible for successful quality and timely delivery of Telecommunications solutions through effective application of project management principles and industry best practices.
Responsibilities
- Order and track delivery of telecommunication products, services and special projects
- Builds and maintains relationships with vendor personnel responsible for implementing orders and projects
- Liaison to telecommunication partner delivery team resolving administrative and/or technical issues during order implementation
- Maintains and provides data analysis of order lifecycle ensuring data integrity and accuracy
- Maintain all electronic data and critical project documentation within databases/software tools
- Creates and provides metrics/performance data and for use in program management reviews
- Collaborate with engineering and field teams to ensure orders are delivered within expected intervals
- Review project work plans, proposals, and schedules, and obtain management/customer approvals
- Monitor and schedule activities with stakeholders required to implement all delivery and construction activities
- Lead teams through the successful completion of small to large projects while managing more than one project at a time
- Communicate project plans internally and externally. Agree and execute on priorities and communicate key milestones
- Schedule and facilitate project meetings required to successfully coordinate work activity
- Contribute to continued improvement of processes by analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs), and driving continuous improvement through lessons learned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in construction management, or a related field, and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience.
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust
Skills
- Expert knowledge of telecommunications carrier ordering systems and delivery practices
- Expert knowledge of civil construction processes, means and methods, relevant rules, regulations, quality standards and public right of way permitting
- Expert understanding of telecommunications carrier LEC/CLEC & IXC network topologies including Network Transport/Access equipment installation, test & turnup, additions, removals, provisioning and acceptance testing of systems
- Service/circuit delivery systems (E.G. Access infrastructure (Fiber/Wireless), DC Power Systems etc.) including installation, test & turnup, additions, replacements and removals
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills, including experience making presentations to senior management and customers
- Exceptional interpersonal skills; the ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience; competence in clear, concise and tactful communication with senior management, peers and staff
- Strategic, conceptual analytical thinking and decision-making skills
- Adaptability and flexibility including the ability to manage deadline pressure, ambiguity and change
- Proficiency with computer office productivity (i.e. MS Office) and project management software tools
- Detail oriented with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Familiarity reading drawings and specifications
Pay
The salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is $106,500 - $197,500. The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, Cleveland Ohio, and Vermont is $92,500 - $171,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
