Senior Specialist, Fund/Client Accounting
About the role
The Senior Specialist will conduct accounting services on behalf of assigned clients and moderately complex funds, including determining net asset values, calculating fund performance, allocating expenses, and preparing reports. They will perform complex Fund/Client Accounting responsibilities, drive Service Improvement plans, enhance processes, and review the work of more junior team members. They will guide and review work related to cash and asset reconciliations for complex accounts or transactions, resolve reconciliation issues for atypical transactions, draft and review reports for clients regarding the performance of complex funds, and assist in evaluating GAAP and/or IFRS rules to determine the impact of new regulations on BNY Mellon fund accounting practices.
Responsibilities
- Determine net asset values and calculate fund performance
- Allocate expenses and prepare reports

- Review the work of more junior team members

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5-7 years of total work experience preferred
- Experience at a Big 4 accounting firm preferred
- Ability to provide guidance to less experienced team members
- May have people management responsibilities in some geographies
Qualifications

Pay
The expected base salary for this position when employment commences can be found in the Job Info section at the bottom of the posting. Base salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Schedule
The position is located in Lake Mary, Florida, with a 4-day in-office expectation.
