About the Role
The Electrical Engineer will perform electronics design using electrical design and analysis tools, including schematic capture, functional and block diagram generation, and electrical wiring diagrams involving digital, power, analog, and mixed-signal designs. The candidate will collaborate with Systems, Mechanical, Software, Firmware, and Electrical Engineers and Technicians as part of an integrated product team (IPT). The role involves meeting project cost and schedule milestones and playing a key role in customer reviews.
Responsibilities
- Perform CCA design, specifying mixed-signal technology circuits consisting of A/D, D/A, processors, I/O communications, and programmable logic (FPGA, CPLD) circuits.
- Utilize a thorough understanding of the digital CCA design process, including requirements generation, preliminary design, peer reviews, detailed design, test plan generation, and integration and testing.
- Design circuits incorporating components such as Xilinx FPGAs, TI DSP processors, Freescale or Intel processors, microcontrollers, CPLDs, and volatile/non-volatile memory (DDRx, SRAM, ROM, Flash, etc.).
- Work with board technologies such as HDI, Meg6, and back drilling.
- Design high-speed memory interfaces (DDRx).
- Utilize the schematic software suite to generate circuit card designs (including schematic capture, constraint-driven layout, simulation, and timing analysis).
- Work independently to generate digital CCA design solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience; graduate degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience is required.
- Active TS/SCI with polygraph.
